ZOMBIE EXODUS: SAFE HAVEN - PATCH NOTES v1.07

Chapter 2

  • You can now choose between your primary and backup weapon before fighting Dante when robbing or killing him. Previously, if you used your backup weapon against the zombies, the game would silently switch back to your primary with no way to choose.

  • Fixed combat text during the Dante fight incorrectly reading "you pull the trigger" when fighting with a bow. Now correctly describes shooting an arrow.

Chapter 7

  • Added player reaction options when Kent takes your cigarette during the pharmacy visit in Chapter 7.

Chapter 8

  • Fixed Brody responding with irrelevant dialogue during the Silverthorne Militia discussion in Chapter 8.

  • Fixed River Dogs dialogue repeating in chapter 8.

  • Corrected missing comma in the NPC list during the junkyard arrival scene.

Chapter 12

  • Fixed continuity issue where Natalie or Wyatt could incorrectly appear and die again during the Silverthorne tower assault if they were killed during Keith's attack in Part 2.

  • Fixed a dialogue error where the MC incorrectly said "I didn't agree" about the Silverthorne trip when recounting the decision to Bailey, even when the player had agreed. Only players who genuinely chose not to deal with Silverthorne will now see the disagreement line.

Chapter 13

  • Added callback for players who chose to trade with the Southern Ute "after the canyon". You can now stop at the reservation on your return journey.

  • Fixed Thelma greeting the player warmly or neutrally at the amusement park even if the player had fought against her Red Mamba Biker Club during the museum battle in Chapter 10.

Part 4 Tasks

  • Added new task option to travel to the Southern Ute reservation to trade if you deferred trading during Chapter 13 and have good standing with the tribe (faction 60+) or were offered trading.

  • Fixed Tommy not appearing correctly in the skill training selection list under certain conditions.

Chapter 15

  • Fixed Rachel's confession scene in Chapter 15 ignoring prior mission approvals.

  • Fixed Madison and Jillian fight intervention skill check incorrectly calculating difficulty using only Madison's athletics instead of both characters' abilities.

  • Fixed Casey asking about the River Dogs' location in Chapter 15 when you had already told him during a CB radio conversation in Chapter 8.

  • Fixed Nephew continuity issue where he would always be described as taking a .22 rifle from the armory in Chapter 15, regardless of which weapon you gave him during the Part 4 training mission.

  • If you choose to take ongoing tribute from the River Dogs, they will now pay tribute. It will be reported by Rachel during downtime.

  • Fixed an infinite loop during the Silverthorne camp raid firefight that trapped players in a death spiral. If your team's ranged combat was in a specific middle range and you were among the most exposed fighters, you would be shot repeatedly until you inevitably died, even though your team was skilled enough to win. The scene now correctly resolves in a team victory after surviving the shot.

Chapter 17

  • Corrected typo in Jillian's dialogue during mission briefing scene.

  • Fixed "chicken_coop" displaying with underscore instead of "chicken coop" in Reilly's dialogue.

General

  • Added option to salvage mounted machine guns from captured vehicles for Watchtower upgrades.

  • Improved Inventory Display during shopping and looting: the full inventory list is no longer automatically shown every time you pick up or purchase an item.

  • Improved the Task System to allow up to 5 tasks per turn at the junkyard, up from 4.

  • Improved the Task System so that spending time with a group member to strengthen your relationship no longer consumes one of your available task slots.

NPC Leader Improvements

  • I've significantly improved how Jaime and Rachel lead the junkyard when you're not in charge. They'll now build more structures and their choices better reflect their personalities.

Rachel's Leadership (Defense-Focused)

  • When Rachel leads, she prioritizes security and military readiness:

  • Part 3: Builds watchtowers, reinforced gates, alarm systems, and trenches early

  • Part 4: Adds radio room, shooting range, prison cell, and sandbag walls

  • Her style: Your junkyard becomes a fortified compound, which is highly defensible

  • Total buildings: 16 structures (10-11 defensive)

Jaime's Leadership (Community-Focused)

  • When Jaime leads, he prioritizes quality of life and sustainability:

  • Part 3: Focuses on workshop, vegetable gardens, infirmary, and recreation areas

  • Part 4: Adds communal kitchen, chicken coop, greenhouse, and hygiene station

  • His style: Your junkyard becomes a thriving community, which is comfortable and self-sufficient

  • Total buildings: 16 structures (6-7 defensive)

What This Means for You

  • Both leaders now build 2 structures per chapter (16 total by end of Part 4)

  • NPC-led bases are more developed and viable for long-term survival
